  18.   The error message "Sharing violation error accessing Paradox"
  19.   occurs due to a sharing violation from the network, as opposed to
  20.   a sharing violation within Paradox.  This occurs most commonly on
  21.   Banyan Vines and Lantastic networks.  In order to prevent this
  22.   error (and to safeguard the Paradox system files), change the
  23.   attributes of the Paradox system files to Read Only by using the
  24.   DOS ATTRIB command.  Have the network administrator do the
  25.   following:

  27.      1.  Be sure no users are currently using Paradox.
  28.  
  29.      2.  Change directory to where PARADOX.EXE is located.
  30.  
  31.      3.  Type ATTRIB +R *.* and press <ENTER>.
  32.  
  33.      4.  Type ATTRIB -R PARADOX.SOM and press <ENTER>.
  34.  
  35.   This will not only prevent the sharing violation problem, but
  36.   will also protect the Paradox system files from accidental
  37.   deletion.  The PARADOX.SOM should have read/write capabilities in
  38.   the event that more user counts are added in the future.
